Xplode Scores Goal for Bolton Partnership

Xplode Magazine has partnered with the Community Trust of Bolton Wanderers Football Club to give young Boltonians the opportunity to develop their media skills whilst helping the charitable arm of the football club.

The partnership will see young people aged 14-22 from Xplode Magazine writing articles, filming events and working on the social media for the trust. They’ll be given opportunities to shadow the media teams at BWFC on match days as well as interviewing the players and management.

Kasey Smith, a budding sports journalist at Xplode Magazine said: “It’s a good partnership because you can gain skills and I’m a Bolton fan so I can’t wait to have the opportunity to interview the players and shadow the media team because I want to become a Sports Journalist.”

Saeed Atcha CEO at Xplode Magazine said: “What I love about this new partnership is that it’s Bolton through and through – two local charities supporting one another with young people on the winning side forming and developing key skills for their futures.”

Richard Slater, Operations Lead at BWCT said: “This is a brilliant partnership with decent opportunities for young people to gain media experience. I think it’s particularly helpful to us because we’ll be able to shout about the positive things we do to support people in Bolton to realise their potential.”

The partnership kicks-off over the Summer and Xplode Magazine are inviting young people to join the team to take part in these new opportunities. Those interested, or want more information, can apply at xplodemag.co.uk/join.
