STARBUCKS BOLTON TRINITY BREWS PARTNERSHIP WITH YOUTH LEADS UK
Coffee chain’s newest Bolton store partners with local youth charity
A brand new Starbucks store in Bolton has named Youth Leads UK as their official charity partner at the opening of their new store.
The new Starbucks store is on Trinity Street at the site of the former Sainsbury’s fuel station.
The Mayor of Bolton, Cllr Akhtar Zaman and Youth Leads UK’s CEO, who also serves as a Deputy Lieutenant of Greater Manchester, joined staff and volunteers from the charity and Starbucks staff to ‘officially’ open the store in the town centre on Saturday (15 October) morning with a ribbon-cutting ceremony.
The charity partnership sees both organisations working together on fundraising ideas and events. Youth Leads publishes Xplode Magazine, copies of which are available in-store from today.
Saeed Atcha MBE DL, Chief Executive of Youth Leads UK, said:
“We’re thankful to the team at the new Starbucks store for choosing us as their charity partner. Starbucks is a brand that connects directly with many young people. They have an incredibly young workforce – we can’t wait to see what the partnership has in store for us.”
Shashi Mahatma, Store Manager at Starbucks Bolton Trinity, said:
“We are so excited to have opened our brand new Starbucks store here in Bolton town centre. Supporting youth is really important for Starbucks. We’re really pleased to have Youth Leads UK as our store’s charity partner, and we’ve recruited two young apprentices. We’re looking forward to helping them raise funds and awareness so that they can support more young people in Bolton.”
Cllr Akhtar Zaman, Mayor of Bolton, said:
“It’s fantastic to see Starbucks investing in Bolton – especially in the town centre. This store has created 15 jobs and 2 young apprentices, so it’s great to see the partnership with Youth Leads UK to help more young people develop their skills.”
At the special opening, staff were giving out 50p discount vouchers, coffee tasting and other Starbucks product sampling.
