Get Involved

There are lots of fun and easy ways that you can support us.

As a charity, we couldn’t continue without your help. No matter what you do, it will help us to change the lives of young people.

Young people thrive when they meet adults who believe in them, share opportunities, and open doors they didn’t even know existed. If you’re a professional, creative, business owner, community leader, or someone who simply believes in the power of youth, there are meaningful ways to get involved at Youth Leads UK. Whether it’s hosting one of our industry insight sessions, giving young people a taste of the working world, commissioning us to undertake a piece of research or mentoring our young leaders, there’s something for everyone.

Your time, experience and skills can make a real impact, from boosting confidence and motivation to helping a young person discover a new direction.

Thank you for playing a key role in the assessment strategy. The children and young people asked several valuable questions and provided key constructive challenge on candidates approaches in hypothetical exercises. We thank Youth Leads for their support in making this component of the assessment strategy such a meaningful exercise

Working with Youth Leads greatly enhanced the impact of our WildWEB digital environmental action programme last summer. The Youth Leads team enabled 15 young people to develop their media literacy through an interactive workshop and share their views on important environmental issues in the magazine. The young people involved were delighted to see their words in print and felt inspired by the experience. We’re grateful for the support the Youth Leads team offered and look forward to working with them again to amplify young voices everywhere.

LET'S WORK TOGETHER

Business Partnerships

We partner with organisations and employers who want to support young people across Greater Manchester. We have a strong track record of developing high-quality and mutually beneficial partnerships.

Whether through Industry Insights, workplace visits, staff volunteering, project briefs or opportunities for young people, we work closely with businesses to create experiences that inspire, educate and develop future talent.

Schools and Teachers

If you work in education, you can introduce our leadership programmes to your young people, stock our free magazine, and we can visit your school to deliver a speech or workshop.

Our programmes support skill-building, confidence, civic engagement and career awareness, helping students become active, informed and ambitious young citizens. We can also co-design bespoke leadership programmes for your school’s needs and deliver them within the existing curriculum. Find out more here.

Individuals

If you’re an individual with skills, time or lived experience to share, there are meaningful ways to support Youth Leads UK. This could include speaking to young people about your journey, helping at events, assisting with programme delivery, or offering opportunities such as shadowing or workplace insights. You can also volunteer to mentor our young people when it comes to writing their CVs and offering them mock interviews or work opportunities.

You don’t need experience working with young people, just authenticity, enthusiasm and a willingness to help.

Communities

Communities make our work possible. Whether you’re a local leader, part of a community group, or connected to neighbourhood networks, you can help us reach more young people and deliver impactful opportunities locally.

We welcome collaborations, community-driven ideas and support to ensure our programmes are accessible, inclusive and rooted in the places young people call home.

Consultations

We offer bespoke research and collaboration opportunities for public and third-sector organisations that are interested in youth insight.

We also offer advertising opportunities in the Youth Leads Magazine, which is read by 55,000 young people across Greater Manchester.
