Lucy Tallon
Youth Engagement Officer
Lucy is a Youth Engagement Officer, and she uses her lived experience and passion for mental health advocacy to help young people feel seen, heard and empowered. She brings authenticity, care and creativity to her work, building strong relationships and making sure that young people are at the heart of everything the charity does.
Lucy first joined Youth Leads through the Leadership Programme. She was drawn to the organisation’s genuine commitment to youth voice and long-term change. She now supports young people to grow in confidence and take up space in places where their voices are often overlooked.
Outside of Youth Leads, Lucy is founding a charity that supports young people as they transition back into the community after psychiatric hospital stays. Her work is rooted in lived experience and a deep belief in the potential of every young person. She is especially passionate about creating safe, inclusive spaces where young people can lead with courage, not fear. Lucy is also a Trustee at 42nd Street, a mental health charity supporting young people with their emotional wellbeing through therapy, creative projects and youth leadership opportunities.
If you’re looking to collaborate on youth-led mental health projects, participation work or anything that centres young people’s voices, Lucy is the person to contact.

I know what it’s like to feel powerless. Now I get to help young people realise how much power they already have.
