Youth Leads UK Launches New Website
Youth Leads UK are pleased to launch their brand new youth-led website. 12 young people have been central to the development process with local design agency, Think EQ.
The new website is the start of a year of highlighting youth social action as part of Youth Leads UK’s 10th anniversary.
Over the next year, this website will highlight the achievements of the youth-led charity. In this first phase, the website has been completely redesigned in the Youth Leads UK colours with a much brighter, simpler design. Other changes include:
- Xplode Magazine content being brought under the Youth Leads UK website – the magazine used to have its own website but our young people wanted everything in one easily accessible location.
- More chances to hear directly from young people – all throughout the website are quotes from young people on our various programmes.
- A new impact page – we want to share the story of the past 10 years and have introduced a new page that will be the home of all of our impact stories.
Drshna Vara, CEO of Think EQ said:
“We have worked with Youth Leads UK for a few years now, and we have enjoyed listening to and collaborating with young people again. Not only have they provided the strategy for the design of the website – they’ve understood more about digital skills. We look forward to seeing them grow and reach their potential.
Saeed Atcha MBE DL said:
“I can’t quite believe that it’s been 10 years since I set up Youth Leads UK. I was 15 years old at the time and never envisaged the impact we’ve had. This new website will tell the story of our impact over the past decade.”
“A web developer once told me that a website is never finished – we’re taking that mantra and running with it! There’ll be multiple updates over the course of the next year. Thank you to Think EQ for working with our incredible young people to bring this vision to life.”
In phase two, later this year there will be a greater focus on video case studies, biographies of the people behind Youth Leads UK and more content to help young people develop their skills. Youth Leads UK will also be featuring the impact of organisational partnerships.
