Charls
Charls is a final-year Level 3 Forensic Science and Criminal Investigation student at Bolton College who has always wanted to be part of social action involving youth. Since finishing the Youth Leads Leadership Programme in December 2025, the motto “for youth, by youth” stood out to him and he became more interested in getting further involved, leading him to apply for the Youth Advisory Board Member role. Charls also serves as one of the College Mental Health Ambassadors and has volunteered across college events and even in Bolton’s libraries and museums. Charls is particularly interested in the intersection of creativity and civic engagement, aiming to use his platform on the Youth Advisory Board to amplify the voices of young people. Looking forward, he plans to combine his skills in networking and social action to pursue a career in law, politics and media, ensuring that youth perspectives remain at the heart of decision-making.
