Emily
Emily is a final-year BSc Speech and Language Therapy student at MMU, where she supports people and helps empower them in using their voice.
Emily has volunteered for the past 9 years and is a St John Ambulance Youth Helper, where she teaches life-saving first aid. Emily also leads Minecraft sessions at STAMMA for children who stammer, helping them to feel confident in their communication and widening their social circle.
Emily wishes that, in the future, every young person, especially those with communication difficulties, is listened to. She is excited to use her time at Youth Leads to support the development of these tools and empower young people to lead change.
