Dhaani
Dhaani is a Year 12 student studying English Literature, Politics and History, with a passion for advocating for young people and ensuring that youth voices are heard and valued.. Dhaani is the Chair of the Youth Advisory Board but she is also involved in other youth leadership and political engagement, including serving as a Youth Councillor for her local area and supporting initiatives such as the #iwill movement and Bite Back, making sure that issues that young people face are taken seriously.
Dhaani has also volunteered with children at her local library and with the homeless organisations. She believes that strengthening our communities is key to having a more compassionate society.
As Chair, Dhaani wants to make sure that there are spaces where young people can feel confident to speak up and they are confident that their voice will lead to real change. She believes that the youth should be at the heart of decision-making, shaping the policies and systems that directly impact their lives and futures. In the future, Dhaani hopes to pursue a career in the political or legal sector, continuing to advocate for underrepresented communities and expand opportunities for young people.
