Leena
Leena joined the Youth Advisory Board to connect her passion for Psychology and Social Impact with her commitment to amplifying young people’s voices, inspiring others to engage in meaningful change. She is currently studying a BSc in Psychology at Keele University, with aspirations to become a Clinical Psychologist. Her interests centre on mental health, community wellbeing, and ensuring that support systems are accessible and inclusive for everyone.
Alongside her studies, Leena is actively engaged in youth and community work. As a Youth-engagement coordinator with Young Manchester and a peer reviewer with GMYN, she helps shape youth-focused initiatives that promote mental health awareness. She is also a peer co-designer with Active Horizons, working to address homelessness-related issues. Leena is also a proud Palestinian and Syrian, with a strong sense of identity and a commitment to working for change. She is passionate about creating spaces where diverse voices are heard, valued, and empowered to lead change.
