INDUSTRY INSIGHT
SPEAKER HUB

Young people rarely get direct access to professionals who can share honest stories, real-world experience and practical insight. Your voice, your journey, and your energy help bridge the gap between “I’m not sure if I can do this” and “I can see myself there.”

This page brings together everything you need to deliver a brilliant Industry Insight session – structure, guidance, examples and resources to help you feel confident and prepared.

Industry Insights are high-energy, hands-on sessions where young people explore career pathways, discover new possibilities, and build skills that genuinely shape their future.

Sessions

Industry Insight sessions are 60–90 minutes of interactive, in-person experience that give young people a close-up look at real careers, real challenges and real journeys. These sessions prioritise storytelling, hands-on activities, and honest conversations that make professional pathways feel accessible.

Sessions typically include:

  • A short introduction to your role, career journey and day-to-day work

  • A practical task linked to your industry

  • Space for questions, discussion and reflection

This isn’t a presentation-heavy session. Young people respond best to simple stories, hands-on tasks, and honest conversation.

Professionals from every sector are welcome – whether your career route has been linear or unexpected, your insight helps young people understand the world of work in a meaningful way.

I arrived thinking I’d be teaching – but I left feeling inspired by the young people. Their questions, ideas and energy reminded me why I love what I do.
